Laravel development for systems that have to last

The PHP framework we build most business systems on.

Backend

Laravel is our default choice for custom business systems. It is mature, exceptionally well documented, and its conventions mean a developer who has never seen your codebase can still find their way around it — which matters far more than novelty when you will own the software for years.

We use Laravel for line-of-business applications, internal portals, APIs, integrations and customer-facing web applications. The framework handles the plumbing — authentication, queues, scheduling, database migrations, mail — so the budget goes on the part that is specific to your business rather than on rebuilding solved problems.

Its maturity is the commercial argument. A large pool of developers know it, upgrades follow a predictable annual cycle with long-term support releases, and the ecosystem covers most of what a business application needs without resorting to abandoned packages. If you ever move the work in-house or to another supplier, you are handing over something conventional rather than something bespoke to us.

What we do with Laravel Development

  • New Laravel applications built from scratch
  • Upgrades from older Laravel and legacy PHP versions
  • API development and third-party integrations
  • Admin panels with Filament and Livewire
  • Queue, scheduling and background job architecture
  • Automated test coverage with PHPUnit or Pest
  • Code audits of an existing Laravel codebase
  • Ongoing maintenance and security patching

Questions

Why Laravel rather than something newer?

Because you will own the system for years and need to be able to hire for it. Laravel has a large developer pool, predictable upgrade cycles and long-term support releases. Novelty is a poor trade for maintainability in business software.

Can you upgrade our old Laravel application?

Yes. We assess the current version, dependencies and test coverage first, then upgrade in staged steps with testing between each rather than attempting one large jump.

Do you work with Filament, Livewire or Inertia?

Yes to all three. Filament is our usual choice for admin panels, Livewire for interactive interfaces without a separate frontend build, and Inertia where a React or Vue frontend makes more sense.
