Where the cost gap is widest in Europe

Offshore software, web, marketing and back-office teams for businesses in Switzerland.

๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ญ Switzerland

Switzerland has the highest employment costs of any market we serve, which makes the arithmetic of offshoring starker here than anywhere else in Europe. It also has exacting expectations on precision and documentation, which is the part most offshore suppliers get wrong.

Working hours

We work 09:00โ€“17:00 UTC, which is 11:00โ€“19:00 Swiss time in summer and 10:00โ€“18:00 in winter โ€” six to seven hours shared, weighted towards your afternoon.

Why Swiss businesses work with an offshore team

  • โœ“
Swiss salaries and social contributions for technical and marketing staff are the highest in Europe, so the cost of doing delivery work in-house is difficult to justify for anything that does not need to sit in Zurich or Geneva.
  • โœ“
The domestic talent market is small and competitive, with employers competing against banking and pharma for the same people.
  • โœ“
Six to seven hours of every working day are shared, so remote delivery does not carry the handover cost it does with more distant suppliers.

Questions from Swiss clients

Do you work in German, French or Italian?

Our working language is English. For customer-facing content in national languages we use native reviewers, quoted as a separate line so you can see the cost.

How does the revFADP affect using an offshore supplier?

Transfers are permitted with appropriate safeguards. We sign a data processing agreement covering it, and standard contractual clauses too where the GDPR applies to your business.

Do you invoice in Swiss francs?

Yes, in CHF, or in EUR if that suits your accounting better.

Data protection in Switzerland is governed by the revised Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP), and the GDPR where you serve EU customers. We are a technology supplier, not legal or tax advisers โ€” confirm your own obligations with your adviser.
